I never read this book as a child, and perhaps reading it as a jaded adult colored my impression of the book. I did enjoy the scientific elements and explanations of tessering, especially for a children's book that features a female protagonist. In a fantasy story I expect to be transported, and the world of A Wrinkle in Time was just too vague for me. The action and the characters were equally bland, and the ending was a little too tidy. Listened to as an audio book read by the author. This was a reread from my elementary school years (over 40 years ago). I enjoyed it, but it didn't have the same impact that it did for me all those years ago. I'm still trying to figure out why that is.
