What Members Thought
I really wanted to love this book, but I only liked it. I can't exactly put my finger on why. I think, for me, this book seemed like it wanted to originally be an adult book, but then it was pared down into a children's book. It's a great world with great characters. If the story was fleshed out a bit more I think I could really get lost in it, but it's like the author took out all the interesting bits that make the reader never want to leave. This book's brevity does it a disservice.

This book was a slower read because of the way it was written. I get that it was a set up to a new world but a lot of the sentences and paragraphs seem to be run ons. There are some breaks in the action so we can learn things about the characters and the world that kind of make the story drag. It’s a good story and world, but it was a slower read than I normally like.
