Whatever I write about The Fault in Our Stars is going to be terrible. Read this book. Everyone. I read it one sitting. I am getting choked up just writing about this. This book is perfect to me.

I very enjoyable book about a person with cancer, but it wasn't a story about her cancer. A young girl of 17 has terminal cancer and she tells a bit about it, but its mostly about trying NOT to be a cancer patient or being defined by her disease. She is just trying to have some semblance of a life, but fears more emotional pain than the pain her body endures. However, she meets a boy named Augustus and helps her understand that sometimes it is worth the pain to love. Sometimes you are a better p

The Fault in Our Stars is one of the best books I have read in years. I was originally a little wary of reading it because I spent most of my early high school years reading assorted Lurlene McDaniel doom-and-gloom disease books and wasn't ready to go back down that road. In John Green's hands, the subject was not melodramatic or over-the-top. I loved this story and the characters ; though at times the plot was predictable. Hazel was such a sweet, smart heroine and I loved that even though she was in a crummy situation that she wasn't bitter, jaded, or sarcastic. I love that she loved her parents. And I actually really loved the book within a book plot. Really sweet, clever, and highly readable. Awesome literary references and quotes...look forward to letting,y kids read this when they get older.

When I first started it, it was lovely but not quite the most captivating book. Then I got into it and spent all day reading it and by the late hours of the night it felt as if my entire heart was ripped out and then put back in. I cried and laughed all at the same time. This book was phenomenal and I recommend it to everyone.

I loved this story. Green did a fabulous job of creating honest, likable, and damaged characters. Although I cannot relate to Gus or Hazel in their illnesses, I was able to relate to each of them. Their love is one that would have stood the test of time, if they had been given the chance. 4 1/2 stars.
