Interesting concept of the future.
World Welcome to a world that is perfect on the surface. People are happily working doing the jobs they are created to do free time is spent playing sanctioned outdoor activities though they don't really like the country. If you start to feel down take half gramme of Soma to perk you right up... Written in 1932 this is a frightening portrayal of future society with an industrious happy population; completely ignorant of Art, Literature, Science, History, or Religion. Great Read!

i really enjoyed reading this book; then again, i am partial to dystopia type settings for books-albeit a bleak setting/outlook this book is is quite poignant. and maybe, in a way, a warning. i find it fascinating how relevant authors from the early twentieth century can be. i wonder when reading books such as this what will and will not stand the test of time.
It took me a little ways in to this book before I actually got interested. I really enjoyed this book and plan to look into more by this author.
