I'll be honest, I didn't love this when I read it. It was kind of dull and I felt like I knew where it was going the whole time. But I think that was the point. I took the time to read the preface to the original that was included, and that helped me understand things a lot more. Not being well versed in history, the preface gave additional richness to the story and explained the purpose of the simplistic writing.
