I must begin by acknowledging, once again, my penchant for Egypt. I’m interested in all things Egypt and am just fascinated by the people & culture. The Automobile Club of Egypt began with a very curious event followed by a really engaging middle and a non-ending.

This book opened with one of the strangest beginnings I've ever read and I have found no real explanation of it. The first chapter starts with an author(presumably this author) just starting to review his book prior to printing. The doorbell rings and two people in period clothes appear at the door. They introduce themselves as his characters and proceed to tell him they need to add things to his book to make it better. He gets angry, makes them leave, and we never hear about this again. The nex
