This is a reread for me, but this time I listened to the audio version and really enjoyed it. It's hard to believe that I'm just meeting Kinsey Milhone in this book since she's been a part of my life for so long. I really like Kinsey, she's no-nonsense, competent, and a little sarcastic. I think that this was a great debut of her private eye series. She's got a big past that we haven't really gotten a good glimpse into, but I hope more will be fothcoming.

The mystery itself was good with a lot of twists, and I couldn't figure it out until right at the end. Those are the best kind.

I listened to this on audio book, and it was just ok for me. I REALLY wish with audio books, they would have one male reader and one female. The way that this narrator imitates males voices just drove me crazy!! All in all though, even if I had read this book for myself, I think the rating would have been the same. I know many people rave about this series, but I just found it "ok."

I was expecting a more dry mystery. I found this actually fast paced and enjoyable. Added the next book to my TBR.
