First off I have to say that I don't believe in psychics, sprits, crossing over, and all that other stuff. Having said that, I took this book for what it was, a piece of fiction.

This was different than any other Jodi Picoult book I have ever read, and I have read quite a few of her books. Although it doesn't follow the same style or "formula" as her other books it is still worth reading. Beautifully written, with so much detail you can tell she does a lot of research for her books. I normally don't write reviews only rate books but just in case someone start reading it and feels like I did I wanted them to know, do not give up on it. When I first started reading this I thought it was something I didn't like but I never quit reading a book no matter how bad it is so I kept listening. This book went a bit overboard with the elephants, but it was an interesting topic anyway. The story itself was nothing special, but it was still enjoyable.
