I don't 'do' chick lit, and I especially don't 'do' weepie chick lit!! Not since 'P.S.I Love You' and 'The Notebook'.
I'm a soft touch who can cry at the drop of a hat these days, so I absolutely did not want to read this book. But it was a gift from a bestie who really did want me to read it, and so I had no choice :(
What can I say about the story that will not include spoilers for those yet to read it? It's compelling, profound, sad, funny, thought-provoking, heart-breaking ...more

This novel opens with a glimpse of Will Traynor’s life before the accident. He’s a handsome and charismatic businessman who enjoys “crushing people” in business deals. One busy day he accidentally steps into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. Will’s rage has defeated his parents and any friends who tried to hang on after the accident. The only power he believes he retains is the power to end his life; and, as a man of action, he wants to exercise that power.

I usually write my own review before I read anyone else's, but this time I read some of the other reviews and Q&A's first. I was surprised by both the oceans of tears that have been shed over this book and by the extremely strong opinions some have about Will's ultimate decision. I didn't cry buckets of tears over this book - no tears at all, in fact. I did listen to it while driving, so probably best I wasn't sobbing. And Will's decision didn't offend me in the least. I thought Moyes built an e

I should probably wait until morning to write this review as I have just finished this book and I am still a bit emotional about. Warning to some readers out there. This book is Chick Lit at it's finest. If you are not a lover of Chick Lit do not read this book! It was amazing!! I did start this book at the beginning of October and only read a few pages here and there (had other books started during this time) and then I got really busy with work and the holidays (and clean up afterwards) and be

Prompt #25: A book with only words on the cover, no images or graphics
5/27/20:
Stayed up until 8am to finish this book (although admittedly, I started the book way after midnight, night owl that I am), which I haven't done in a long time. It's weird because I wouldn't label this book as a page-turner or as unputdownable at all, and yet I sat there, riveted.
4 stars because despite the hype and absurdly high average GR rating, I still enjoyed the book very much and ...more

So achingly sad and beautiful. I couldn't put it down. I fear that I will be a sobbing mess in the theatres when this comes out
