YOURS TO KEEP is the newest addition to the Kowalskis series by Shannon Stacey and is by far the best book yet. It was laugh out loud funny, incredibly sweet, and overall a fantastic read.

Emma Shaw can't believe that one little lie has taken on such a life of its own, but she needs Sean to do this. When he reluctantly agrees to do what she asks, he finds that against his better judgement, he's attracted to Emma and she to him, but they are totally wrong for each other. It doesn't matter how much they are enjoying their fake engagement, when the month is up, they go their separate ways...or will they?

This was absolutely my most favorite book so far in the series. YOURS TO KEEP was just about perfect. It had a funny premise, fantastic writing, amazing characters, and of course one of my favorite story families of all time.

I was concerned about how much I would feel invested in characters that I hadn't read about before in previous books, but I thought Shannon Stacey did a fantastic job with providing a back story and incorporating Sean and Emma into the Kowalski family. I didn't feel like I was starting over at all.

Sean and Emma were just so perfect together. They were fighting their attraction for a long time, but you knew it was inevitable that they ended up in bed together. Even though I knew what was going to happen, watching it unfold was very enjoyable.

I know that the fake engagement plot has been done before, but Ms. Stacey has such a fresh voice, and she has such great dialogue that it really doesn't seem like the same old thing.

And of course the Kowalskis are back. OMG, they are so hilarious. With their various activities "of doom", I swear, I felt like I was going to pee my pants with them. Totally great. So far in the series, we've had the volleyball match of doom, wedding pictures of doom, and now we had football match of doom. It's so great. The family as a whole adds such a realism to the books that I look forward to what they will come up to next with each successive book.

So, YOURS TO KEEP is a fantastic addition to the series, and I can not wait to see what's going to happen in the next book. I think that this book, although third in the series, could easily be read as a standalone, so check it out. I promise you won't be disappointed. ...more

This book (and this whole series) contains all the elements that make the romance genre my favorite. We have Emma, a determined heroine who runs her own landscaping business and loves her grandmother so much that she's willing to do anything to have her not worry.
