What Members Thought
What can I possibly say about this that hasn't already been said multiple times? Normally, fantasy is not my thing. With very few exceptions i.e., Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, or Peter Pan, I don't read it. A Game of Thrones turns out to be one of those exceptions. Here again, is a totally new world populated with men and women but they don't do magic (well, not all of them), they can't fly and they mostly follow the laws of the universe, at least in this first book of the series. I loved this book even though it took me over two months to finish it. The beginning of the book was slow for me because it switched between multiple characters and it was a little slow at first but once i got into the story it didn't take me long read it. I would definitely recommend this series!

This #1 (Game of Thrones) is the best one of the series. #3 (A Storm of Swords) comes in second place for me. The others get wearisome because there is just so much information, so many despicable, vile people, etc. I'm hoping #6 has some sort of pleasant ending. Good grief, Mr. Martin, PLEASE find at least one redeemable character to finish off the series...and don't murder them off. : )
