This is another delightful Trollope novel. At its heart, it is a simple romantic story also involving an inheritance issue, a fairly common Trollope issue which he again handles in a realistic yet interesting manner.
The allure of this story is that the heroine in is her mid-30s approaching spinster status rather than a young woman. Miss M is very appealable as a heroine. The story addresses her trials in various residences in the London area and a small-town as she is wooed by three suitors and
