Re-read OFFF8 last night and it really hit home (with its opposing political factions running the corporate world as a prison planet in direct confrontation with You The People.

Fairly standard '60s Philip K. Dick stuff- nebbishy anti-hero, feral and amoral and irresistibly violent girl, dualing geniuses at the head of doomed conspiracies. And in this case a godlike alien race. Good reading but nothing too surprising for PKD enthusiasts.

Ahhh the Dickian theme of small-man-becomes-important-antihero-while-still-struggling-with-his-issues. And those issues, of course, mirror Dick's to a lesser or greater degree. Lovely.
