In Valis, PKD blends reality and fiction, autobiography and delusion, and it's a real pleasure to get lost in. I found his insanity seductive, and his forceful search for answers (after his attempted suicide) exhilarating, and at times, beautifully sad. Transmigrating souls, split personalities, two-year-old prophets, divine ZEBRA moments, and android politicians.
