What Members Thought

A fascinating distillation of PhIlip K. Dick’s 2-3 74 experiences combined with Christianity, Judaism, Gnosticism, Zoroastrism. A little plodding at some points when it gets bogged down with theological discussions.

It is exquisite! With humor, and a full commitment to his gnostic ideas, Phillip, K. Dick incorporates themes about politics, spirituality, mental health, immigration, colonization, critiques of the education system, AI, autism, mobile devices, misinformation, corruption, moral shades of gray, and divine intervention into a truly mind bending ride. There is never a dull moment. Suffice to say, it is critical to read VALIS first in order to feel more grounded in PKD’s philosophy.
