This was such a beautiful book. The writing style is absolute extraordinary. This book is written in form of letters but you can easily follow the story.

It deals with a lot of heavy problems such as mental disease, racism, queerness, family and war. In some moments the emotions felt so raw that I was convinced this book is partly an biography. Everything felt so real and reading this was such a beautiful experience but it hurt too.

here’s the thing:
i adored this book, the writing was magnificent and i loved how she described everything on the page. it made me forget that a author wrote it and it’s just ink on paper.
but…
i couldn’t get into the book whatsoever, i didn’t really know what was going on most of the time and everything so that’s why it got knocked down a couple stars to me. so technically it should be 2.5 stars.
