I think this book is on the "adult" side of the spectrum. Vampires and power and sex and sexual assault are so commonly combined, it almost seems like an accepted metaphor. I'm interested in this, but at the same time I think our energies can be spent on non-sexual assault adjacent texts. Maybe this book explores these in a new way. mw
