Sloth: First of all: Elle Kennedy needs to read Grace Reilly's books to know how to write actual conflicting parent-child relationships. Seriously, while I was frustrated by the dad, I was also like. Them reconnecting felt SO natural. Whereas Elle Kennedy writes toxic, abusive parental relationships and the children forgive them when there's absolutely nothing to forgive. That's basically one of the reasons why I loved this book so much.
