The tenth in the Sigma Force series. This book focuses on genetics and how it affects the world to the point of possible extinction. Topics include XNA, science philosphies regarding conserving/resurrecting life, history and science related to Antarctica. Of particular note is the lack of new characters from Sigma and indeed the reduction in roles by exisiting Sigma personnel. This was the first James Rollins novel I had ever picked up. Strolling through the airport bookstore on a business trip, I stumbled on it because of the synopsis and couldn't put it down. As a fan of the genre it was a great read and the series/author have turned into a favorite. Going back to start from the beginning soon! The best comparison for those that have not read is the Dan Brown/Tom Clancy, except for the fact that James Rollins has surpassed Dan Brown.
