Idk it was fine? I think I read too many TJR books in a row and cracked her formula. I need a breather
good, but it lacked the usual hard-hitting feeling i got after reading evelyn hugo and daisy jones :(
A fun summer read, something I’d read on vacation to kill time, but not the best fiction out there either. I loved the California surfer vibes, how it all takes place in one day, the childhood flashbacks over the 2 generations, the character development, the interconnectedness of all the characters who show us to the party. And I was cheering for Nina at the end! The writing was overall wonderful, but still a 4/5 for me - the first half felt too long, and when the party starts there are too many

okay, this was such a good book and for what? it managed to get me out of a reading slump and absolutely almost made me cry in the middle of class
that was entertainingly good. Like I liked it a LOT
