Really glad I read this. Celeste Ng wrote an incredible representation of how individuals in a family can experience life and relationship in very different ways, and the difficulties of navigating those perspectives and experiences. Celeste Ng is a very talented writer. I loved Little Fires Everywhere, I have it 5 stars. There is no doubt that Ng does an excellent job telling this story of five different people in a family and bringing their heartache to life.
That being said, I did not enjoy reading this book at all. I don’t mind an emotional read, I don’t usually mind a heavy story, but this one just felt depressing in a way I just didn’t like.
