I cheated on my read the world Armenia challenge because the author is American and his mother who the book is about is actually from Turkey but is Armenian in nationality. I chose this book because many of the books I was finding were about Armenian genocide in 1915 and this book is a middle grade level so I was hoping it would not be so graphic in the subject matter.
