As my most anticipated read of 2023, this book was amazing. Was it better than TBONA? No, but that would've been nearly impossible. There were a few things I disliked or missed in this one, but all in all, I'm really satisfied with how the series ended.

My main dislike about A Curse for True Love was the pacing. In contrast to TBONA, this book wasn't as action-packed in the first half of the book, which made it feel a little dragged out. Other than that, I loved the writing style, the plot ( 4.5*

I also would've liked to see Jacks and Evangeline working together and bantering, which was such a big part of the previous two installments. I especially missed the banter. We had a few conversations of them bantering, but overall their conversations were more filled with desperation.

One of the things that has remained consistent throughout the series is the beautiful, fairytale like descriptions. This and the intricate world-building really made it feel like you were inside a fairytale in a way I haven't really experienced with other books.

omgomgomg the cover!! it looks so pretty! And the synopsis?! 'Blood will be shed'... She better be talking about Apollo's blood.
In the cosmopolitan interview she said that the tree on the cover was important, but why? Is it a family tree? Or some sort of magical tree? The treehouse? Can she get her memories back there because enchantments don't work there? Or was that destroyed? I don't remember... whoops. Maybe I should do a reread... ...more
