Reread 10/27/23: My feelings are unchanged this book is god tier.
5 stars of perfection. I am physical pain, I don’t think I’ll make it the next nine months when the third book releases (and thank the stars that there is a third book, because if I’d turned the last page of this one with the impression that this was a duology, I would’ve died on the inside). But HOW did Stephanie Garber make this so much better than Once Upon A Broken Heart. That book was super good, and yet this one was lightyear ...more

edit 12.26.23 - still obsessed. it was even better the second time. my heart is still shattered from the ending. apollo sucks.

i didn’t think i was capable of crying this much over a book. i feel absolutely nothing but heartbreak and i cannot believe i have to wait until september for the last book. i am in an unbelievable amount of pain.
i will not rest until i have acftl in my hands. there is no way it ended like that… i am speechless. i wanna cry and i want it to be October 24 now
the ending felt more like a seventh grade honors fictional essay wrap up rather than a shocking plot twist but i will be reading the last book
