i'm sad to say that i didn't enjoy this as much as the first book and that is due to one reason: i just absolutely can't stand tella, i'm sorry. i didn't like her during the first book but we also didn't know much about her so i thought if we get her pov and get to know her better, maybe her character would be redeemed but fuck no, i hate her even more now 😭 my first impression of her was that she's gonna turn out to be a taryn 2.0 and i see now i should learn to trust my instincts more. she is ...more

I liked this book more than caraval. This was more high-staked which I absolutely loved. And the whole new level of world building- I truly didn't expect it but here we are.

I was skeptical of tella in caraval but I really liked her in this one. Dante is THE man🤭 I am not a big fan of Jacks (oops, sorry) but woah, I was enjoying his scenes more than I thought. His sassy nature was worth it. And even tho he was the "villain", it didn't seem so. Scarlett was still not the type of person I like.

I love these books even more every book! 😂 they are so exciting and so entertaining!! The storytelling that Stephanie is able to write is absolutely amazing!! I’m so excited to read book 3!!! This book reminded me so much of Wonderland by Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) and I loved it!! 💖 I’m Team Dante btw🫣🤭

אני ממש לא בטוחה על הדירוג, כי אני בכלל לא זוכרת מה חשבתי על הספר בהתחלה שלו כי זה היה לפני שבועיים+💀
אבל לא אשקר, הוא היה מעולה, כן היה קטע שניחשתי מה קרה, שזה די מבאס אבל זה חדמש שווה את זה.
במיוחד שידעתי בתחילת הספר מי זה לג׳נד כי ספיילרתי לעצמי בטעות.

This book was honestly so much better than Caraval in my opinion and probably my favorite Stephanie Garber book thus far. I love that this Caraval still had so much magic, but was also SO REAL!!! Even though I knew who Legend was (I think everyone can agree it’s almost too obvious), it genuinely didn’t take away from the reveal at all!!!

I feel like I finally understand the jacks’s apples now too, so I can finally sleep at night.
