me, after devouring the last book in the greatest YA mystery/thriller series of all time in 7 hours: okay, perfect! but why am i sobbing?

holly jackson you are a MASTER! how is it that every book in this series is just as (or even more) complex, intriguing, painful, and absolutely delightful as the last?

from the beginning, i've applauded jackson's ability at creating wonderfully developed, interesting, and fiercely brave characters. pip is just as viva ...more

To view it, click here. pertama-tama, don't read this book if you already finished the first two because i firmly stand that agggtm series only consists of two volumes. adaaa banyak hal banget yang beda dari dua buku sebelumnya. kurang tau apakah ini pressure atau faktor lain, tapi di buku kali ini rasanya semuanya kayak "lebay" banget.

the literal series title being *a good girl guide to murder*, def didnt see that. dibanding dua buku sebelumnya, plot kali ini jalannya lambat banget. im that friend who assures you to w pertama-tama, don't read this book if you already finished the first two because i firmly stand that agggtm series only consists of two volumes. adaaa banyak hal banget yang beda dari dua buku sebelumnya. kurang tau apakah ini pressure atau faktor lain, tapi di buku kali ini rasanya semuanya kayak "lebay" banget.

penulisnya berusaha banget yakinin pembaca soal trauma dan perasaan hollow yang ditinggalin charlie green ke pip sampe sampe isi dr awal cerita itu itu mulu, diulang terus sampe ngebosenin. tapi begitu masuk ke bagian serial killernya, baru deh aku ngerasa ini holly jackson yg nulis dua buku sebelumnya balik lagi.

eksekusi, sama timeline si dt muncul dan gerak bikin aku degdegan dan hook up banget. di sini udaaah bagus nih, hope ku juga udah naik wah dari sini bagus nih. walaupun buku ini bikin aku berhasil nebak siapa dt killernya duluan daripada pip yang malah ... aneh banget suspect ke daniel da silva? i mean the hint has always been there??? girl??? i mean ok she has been telling us how fucked up she was since the last book but ... ok anyway.

jalan cerita yang menurutku bosenin lalu ketolong plot pace yang berubah ini tbtb anjlok lagi setelah plot twist. part nyebelinnya sebenarnya udah mulai sejak si dt ini ninggalin pip di sana setelah ngetied her and did all that. dia udah punya pengalaman tara kabur, tapi serial killer macam apa yang ngulangin kesalahan yang sama? serial killer yang udah ngestalk pip berbulan bulan macam apa yang nafsu ngekillnya tidak ketrigger ketika mangsanya udah nyampe di sarang dia? serial killer macam apa yang tbtb ninggalin korbannya di peak scene, bawa mobil pula?????

terus ditambah pip ngebunuh dt-nya. blio ini nulis dua buku sebelumnya cuma buat sampai ke kesimpulan bahwa karakter utamanha, detektif cilik yang ngekuak kasus lama saking pinter dan idk maybe not rightous and loving justice but still making pip murder someone????? kalau dari awal stand pip ini dibuat jelas kalau dia ... idk .... in grey line with murder and crime??? and forced crime??? mungkin masih ok. tapi kit dari awal tuh udah di lead sama narasi bahwa pip ini stand with morale, tapi kok ya....

and making her frame someone else for that murder as well? involving her friends in that scenario of framing????? GOD. I hate Max Hastings too but I hate Jason as well. He doesnt deserve to die easily like that, for me that part was not fair for the other victim.

all i can say is pip, there could be another girl or another boy who is interested in crime cases like this in the future and idk what if they discovered your crime this time?? i mean you get back what you give to someone so ...

loved this ending for this very special series, this book is definitely darker and different from the first two but throughout it you can see pips character growth and how she has evolved! going to miss these characters so much and wish their was more of an epilogue to see where they are at now!
