I started this book on the recommendation of a good friend. The book imagines if Jesus had a wife. The story is told from her perspective. Ana is smart and passionate and determined. She's also living in a time period when it is dangerous to be this kind of woman. I love the beautiful relationships between the women. I love how they care for and protect each other. I started strong with this book and probably should have finished it a long time ago, but I am back at it and almost done. It speaks to the importance of language and having a voice and leaving a legacy. I highly recommend it.
