anubis the god of death? more like anubis the god of sexiness lmao. the way sadie is 12 in this is whack that’s like a Child child i mean like she’s practically a toddler?? and idk how old zia is meant to be but if she and carter are like a thing and he’s 14 then she must be a child too?? children fighting wars against chaos beings?? whack

The Red Pyramid was great but it felt like it was copying off of Percy Jackson. But then, they were written by the same author. Sadie is awesome; she is as tough as iron and so stubborn at that too! Anyways, I love finding out about the Egyptian myths and gods.

I loved the Percy Jackson series so I had high expectations for this book. Well my expectations were not met. I tried to read it a first time and put it down in favor of a more interesting book. A year or so later I picked it up again and made it through the whole book. It was a good overall story, but since I liked the Percy Jackson series so much it kind of made this series less special. Maybe if I had read this series before the Percy Jackson series I would have liked it a little more.
