There has been so much said about both Alchemised and Manacled that I doubt I can add anything truly new to the discussion. Not what I was expecting, with people saying it’s dark and people crying I thought finally a dark disturbing book. Was I wrong. Nothing dark about this book. It could have been darker but it was tame. It was also repetitive in many places and god how I hated Helena. Self centered, self righteous, moaning individual. I don’t even know how to put into words what I feel about this book. I loved this but it also had me in my feelings and emotions. It was a bit slow to start but once it picked up It seemed relatively steady. It took me on a journey and I loved it so much.
