Great First Read of 2025!!!

Great plot, adventurous story & what a way to dive into Mische’s life.
Carissa has done it again building a world that I just wanted to dive in and explore. I love how this world is unique to me & it took me a while to finish the book because I wanted to be able to concentrate on the details & understand whatever was going on.
I liked Raihn & Oraya’s story better coz these 2 were more of a slow burn & it fit Mische’s character better. I’m excited to read about how their ...more

Wow! The ending carried this book. I was prepared to rate 3 stars or less, because the setting was just not my cup of tea. But....you can't really have the plot without the setting. The relationships in this book and the setup for the next book made it relatively worth the read.

Cautiously recommend for those who love the author like I do and can handle a darker (underworld) type atmosphere for the entire book. Not my favorite but worth reading if you're already invested in the series. ...more
