This book may be my favorite read so far this year.
Im a sucker for tournament/games, horror, dark romance and spice. This offered it all.
It started off slow and at first i was like hmm. I can't get into it. Boy did that change fast.
It genuinely pained me to have to put the book down each time, and i can already feel the hangover setting in. ...more

4.5 ⭐️ this was a perfect spicy book to read right before Halloween! I really enjoyed this book, the ending was kind of abrupt. I would have liked a little more explanation at the end , it was kind of rushed and confusing a bit.

I understand why this is popular. I'm just not sold on the hype. It's a solid romantasy, I'm just not sure what makes it stand out so much.

And I'm a little confused how the sequel is set up because this felt like a standalone.

It starts out well with a good atmosphere, but then the trials they go through are boring. There’s no romantic connection. It’s Insta love and the sex scenes were boring and the ending was very anti-climatic. Very disappointing.
