If you’re into paranormal romance, run to get this book. Haunted mansions, devils, phantoms, secrets, twists and yes, a spicy edge. Imagine The Hunger Games but set in a cursed mansion with things that go bump in the night.

I loved the character growth and the slow unraveling of the story. The mix of ghostly haunts and dark romance. Hauntingly perfect. Some say it’s scary, but honestly, I didn’t find it too intense—bloody in parts, but not overly graphic.

Okay I liked this. I felt the end was a little rushed, the rest of the book’s pace was great for a standalone. I really enjoyed the story.

Also the foreshadowing did its job a little too hard in the sense that it became sooooo predictable.
