What Members Thought

Does this feel like Pirates of the Caribbean/Peter pan fan fiction? Kinda. It definitely reads like it. I was so attracted to the premise of this. Pirates, Adventure, Fae. All the things.
Yet the writing at the beginning was so intermediate. It took a minute to realize which POVs were whose because the writing sounded the same. Or rather read the same. But then I took note of each chapter having ‘the serpent’ or ‘the songbird’ as the title.

This is a five star read for me!
It has everything!
Normal FMC that uses her head, even more plausible MMC with flaws and history. Even side characters had back stories that invite you to read the next one!
Worldbuilding, magic system, story progression, character development, reasonable cliffhanger not some emotional bulls**t to question the characters decisions - everything was in place!!!
Thank you LJ Andrews for restoring my fate in the genre.
