This book was intense. It gave me a definite gothic, dark, and eerie feel when it came to the setting. Lilia was such an interesting protagonist and kept me reeling for more as I read.
But oh Devryck is a whole other type of animal.

Feels weird to say that I was super “pleasantly” surprised by this book given that it’s NOT pleasant, but I was. I’m in a bit of a romantasy-heavy phase right now, so didn’t think I would love Nocticadia as much as I did, but it fast became one of my favorite 2024 reads!
