I enjoyed this book—phenomenal world building and an expansive plot!! I love this world and am looking forward to the next book.

It did take me until 30-35% in to my read to become fully absorbed—but once I did I finished the read in one sitting basically. I had to re-read a ton of things, and was constantly flipping pages to grasp terms, places, and characters. I was admittedly in a mild state of confusion almost the entire first half of the book. I absolutely adore this book. The pace of the read was perfect for me. World building was dreamy. I loved the main characters. This book gave me all the Dark Crystal & Labyrinth vibes but that might just be my age. I’m super excited for book two coming in the Autumn.
