I cannot stress enough how much I loved this book. I devoured it and am fully obsessed. It felt like Throne of Glass had a baby with Fourth Wing. Raeve was sassy, stabby, snarky, and full of rage. I adore her. Kaan is broody, grumpy, possessive, overprotective, and gives off major “touch her and 💀” vibes. He was perfect. DNF twice.

First I tried reading it and was BEYOND BORED and kept falling asleep - had to return it back to the library.

Second time I borrowed the audiobook and only 29 hours of borrow time left…but… I’m AGAIN BORED! It feels repetitive. I’m currently on chapter 30 and not even close to halfway through it. IT’S WAY TOO LONG! There’s a bunch of repetitive filler; CUTS should have been made.

No idea if I’ll be able to go much further. There are moments of intrigue, but there’s WAY too much boring ...more

I did enjoy this but, again this author writes female characters that are supposed to be adults with the mentality of a child. All the male characters are written has soppy. It did have dragons and the ending may be the only reason I get the next book. If I’m been honest there wasn’t really much of a storyline.
