I cannot stress enough how much I loved this book. I devoured it and am fully obsessed. It felt like Throne of Glass had a baby with Fourth Wing. Raeve was sassy, stabby, snarky, and full of rage. I adore her. Kaan is broody, grumpy, possessive, overprotective, and gives off major “touch her and 💀” vibes. He was perfect. This may just be my new favorite book of all time. Or second only to The Princess Bride. I adored this book. The characters. The world building. Oh my gosh, the world building... Sarah A. Parker is also a gem of a person. It shines through in her novels. You can tell this is a passion project. I just loved this book!

I did enjoy this but, again this author writes female characters that are supposed to be adults with the mentality of a child. All the male characters are written has soppy. It did have dragons and the ending may be the only reason I get the next book. If I’m been honest there wasn’t really much of a storyline.
