There were aspects of this book that I liked, but too much I didn’t to rate it higher. Interesting premise and world. However, too many characters have so many pages dedicated to showing us how they’re so complex and misunderstood, without making them likeable enough. It’s hard to really get sucked into a story without more of a vested interest, and I didn’t feel the author make you care enough to root for them and care what happens next.
