Definitely a slow build series I see. Didn’t get interesting until more than half way through the book. Finished it wanting to know what happens next so that’s a win.
Gild by Raven Kennedy is the first book in the Plated Prisoner series. This story is told in the POV of Auren, King Midas’s gilded favored saddle. I enjoyed this book, although mostly world building and character development I am interested in finding out what happens to the FMC.
Slight spoiler - imo but King Midas is worse than Tamlin 😁 and I thought Tamlin was the worst MMC until I read this.

I am super invested in the world building, it has all the pieces to be an amazing series. But I did not get interested until the last 30 pages…
Hoping the remainder of the series lives up to its hype. I see the potential...
