3.5 - I did it!! I finished the CC trilogy, all 2,700 (ish) pages of it!! AND I have officially read through the entire Sarah J Maas universe 🥵 (as it currently stands at least).

Minor spoilers to follow.

I really enjoyed the CC series and flew through these gagantic books. I love 3rd person narrative, the multiple POVs, all the side characters, world building, politics and multiverse storyline. I’d say more like 4.5 or 4.7 stars? It was exciting, emotional(I cried several times), the adventure was thrilling. It completely took me from reality, which I adore. I was consumed! Though, certain parts of Bryce I drove me nuts, I wanted to shake her haha but I loved getting more of Hunt’s personality. I liked Hunt in the first two books but he wasn’t a favorite. I loved seeing more of how his trauma manifested and I feel like I learned more of who he is, why he is, and I am a bigger fan now. I’d say more like 4.5 or 4.7 stars? It was exciting, emotional(I cried several times), the adventure was thrilling. It completely took me from reality, which I adore. I was consumed! Though, certain parts of Bryce I drove me nuts, I wanted to shake her haha but I loved getting more of Hunt’s personality. I liked Hunt in the first two books but he wasn’t a favorite. Lidia and Ruhn, who are my favorites, there character development was really a joy to read. Lidia even more so. She is a powerhouse and I absolutely adored what we learn about her in this. Shocking and spectacular. I really enjoyed the character development in so many characters we knew before but explore more in this book, and also characters that are newer. Baxian, the sprites, Jesipa, Hypaxia, and Sathia, etc *chef’s kiss*

The crossover parts I really loved. I feel like this book has opened a lot more for the ACOTAR books to come and we got to see a side to Nesta that further adds to her power, storyline & her kind side. I feel like Azriel spoke more in this book than all the ACOTAR books combined haha! I cannot wait to learn even more about him soon in the next ACOTAR. There is a certain part, in the last crossover bit with Nesta and characters I do not want to list so I don’t spoil anything but my heart just exploded from their relationship and it felt really important for Nesta’s growth going forward.

There are characters I feel like had very intentional open storylines that will be learned more about in follow up books and I look forward to seeing how they grow. Like Ithan, Therion, Sathia, Hypaxia, and really thrilled for future books that the ending of this book allowed to possibly explore regarding world building.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I’m already missing all the characters. Currently depressed about how many years ai may be waiting again until I get more of this story. ...more

This was really really good!!! Loved all the characters coming together from all over making me reminisce about TOG. 🥹 there were some moments that I was really annoyed with Bryce, hence the 4⭐️s. But overall it was well worth the wait!! 🙌🏻💃🏼😍
