Honestly I wanted to love this book, and I did, just not as much as the others. It kinda fell a little flat for me. It was still really good. I think I was mostly disappointed in the interactions with the ACOTAR universe. I do love Nesta though and I am so glad that she got to talk and be around people that had no idea of who she was before. That was refreshing to see her not have a biased perspective. I think a more fair rating of this book would be 3.5. It was my most anticipated 2024 release, but did fall a little short of my expectations. The second book ended in a way that had me very much in my feelings but I feel like HOFAS didn’t live up to where I imagined the story would be going. It was a great book, I am happy to have read it, but 3.5 pretty accurately describes my final thoughts without giving spoilers.
Really enjoyed this book! I wonder if we’ll see a fourth one released 👀
Maybe 3.5 stars. This book was good and the entire series was worth the read, but it was just so loooooong.
