Ends on cliffhanger, but still enjoyable & definitely reading next!!!!

It’s very poetic at times so some might not like that style or the slower pace, but I enjoyed it!!!!! Once got into the story I was captivated with it!!!! Supernatural/suspense/mystery/light romance, but all the angst & yet was so soothing how it was written in such lyrical style!!!!! Cinderella vibes with Mulan & Grime’s fairytale with a darker, but still YA background!! Highly recommend this novel & will be downloading the ...more

Loved the gothic atmosphere, unique magic system, integration of poetry, and plot. The Nightmare is my favorite. He's mysterious and creepy, but also kind of endearing? I don't know. It all kind of reminded me of Daughter of No Worlds with mixed with a bit of a darker Once Upon a Broken Heart vibe.
