What Members Thought
The final fourth of this book really picked up for me to become a compelling read, but other than the details regarding dragons before this part, wasn’t too keen about this read. I am also not a huge fan of combat or details about bodily harm, so that’s a likely contributor to my overall opinion. However, leaving this first installment I’m eager to see where the rest of Violet’s story goes. ( 3.25 / 5 )
Once you get past the 1st 50% it finally got to where I couldn't put it down. It was hard to get through the first part though, but I was glad I did and picked up the 2nd book right away. Yarros has amazing use of words. Her plot holes and the endless amount of questions she leaves you wondering about when you finish her books is annoying, but it's what makes you pick up the next.
