Wow. I haven't read a fantasy book that wrapped me in since I first read Harry Potter. I read this entire book in less than 24 hours.

Best book of the year for me. It was so easy to get wrapped up in this world!! I love everything about it, dragons, war, magic, love. Violet is such a great protagonist and I loved seeing her growth. Chefs kiss. However, do not get attached to literally anyone in this book!! Ended on a cliff hanger but luckily I waited to read till the second came out so I don’t have to wait to read the next one. Highly recommend!!

My favourite book of all time. Beautifully written, so many surprises. Love the entire storyline, everything!!! Keeps you hooked, wanting more, I couldn’t put this book down! Can’t wait for Iron Flame (book 2). 100% worth the read! I hope they make it into a tv show or movie!

A solid book!
I found it a little slow in parts to start but world building always seems to be

Characters are enjoyable, dragons adorable (even if they’re not meant to be), and a fun plot

Bring on the second book - maybe it’ll be spicer? 🌶️

Somewhat predictable…but still fun. I’m excited for the political intrigue of book 2.

The love interests also both somewhat annoy me and I could do without Xaden’s POV.
