Y’all, this book…oh my 🤩 I absolutely loved it!! I have a new obsession outside of the Maas world now. I cannot wait for the 2nd one to come out in November. Rebecca Yarros, you definitely have a new fan!! (I also want my own dragon now.)
Now THAT was fun! Fast paced. Loved the setting. Loved the characters both human and dragon. Was this completely new in any way? Not really. It is really hard in this over saturated genre to present an idea or concept that hasn't been done. So, I'm looking for characters I like and can root for. A world I enjoy spending time in that doesn't require huge info dumps to understand. Magic that is interesting and makes sense to the plot. All these fantasy characters seem to be whiny at the start. This book felt a little formulaic at parts, but at the end of the day, I loved it. It was a perfect escape, I was drawn into the characters, and the ending left me eager for the sequel. Glad I read this now with the sequel coming in just a few weeks!
I loved this book and couldn't put it down. Seriously. I basically spent the past 36 hours reading and needed to take ibuprofen and put in eye drops because my eyes/head were exhausted from reading too much 😅.
The story was fantastic, I loved the characters and the chemistry/romance between the main characters. The dragons were amazing (I want to ride a dragon).

I was most definitely not expecting this book to suck me in the way it did. Before I knew it, I was doing all I could to get a few pages in no matter how busy I was… if you love morally gray boys with a wicked smile, then this is your next read!

I haven’t loved a book like this in a long time. The story is incredibly well written. They world building technique- spectacular. The characters- endearing! The plot pulls you in within the first chapter. RUN to read this! Cannot wait for the sequel and the ones that follow!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I will always find this book entertaining and easy to read. This is my 3rd time through this book and I still love every second of it. I’m also a sucker for plot twists 😅
