⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️0.5 stars but only because I loved the first one so much.

This sequel is so good! It’s both heart-wrenching and completely uplifting. The world-building is so vivid, with intense politics and danger hiding around every corner. And the romance? Perfectly layered and packed with moments that hit you right in the feels.

Not as good as the first book, but still a captivating story.

Things I liked:

Oraya is a kickass heroine with depth and personality.
Raihn is loyal, devoted, charming and capable. He’s a good yin to Oraya’s yang.

I like that the overall vampire world and plot is different [enough] from other vampire worlds/stories to make it interesting.

The depravity is just enough to make your stomach lurch without sliding into complete horror.
