This well-written and delightful story is about grieving the loss of a relationship, self-discovery, and family dynamics. Ted, while on his journey of starting over is faced with gaining confidence, rediscovering his passion, discovering secrets about his family, finding his true family, and giving forgiveness. While this story addresses a lot of issues faced by members of the LGBTQ community, I am a divorced straight middle-aged female related to many of the topics addressed in this book.

When Ted's husband of almost 20 years informs him that he's met someone else and is leaving him, Ted is devastated. But as Ted slowly starts to explore who he really is, he realizes that his relationship may have been holding him back. This one is very sweet. A bit campy and over the top at times, but I really enjoyed the characters and it was a fun read. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily. ...more
