I love so much about this book. The absence of a plot, per se, it's just the story of a boy living his life according to his truth as he knows it. I loved the last chapter so much I read it five times before I returned the book to the library.
The thing that knocked it down from 5 to 4 stars for me is the conversation with the parents leading to Ari's self-awareness. I would have liked this revelation to be more internal. ...more

Wonderful story I couldn't put down. Unusual story about the relationship between two 16 year old boys coming of age. This book is by the same author that wrote, "Last Night I Sang to the Monster" another outstanding novel.
