Really great analysis. The author does a great job providing the geopolitical reality faced by today's world, and outlines the historic blessings the US has enjoyed. He also explains the post WWII economy in terms of Bretton Woods- the US basically said we'll buy everything from anyone AND we'll protect the sea lanes. Recent history, in his view, is the unravelling of this world order.
