This sci-fi story of life under, and resistance to, a high-tech oppressive regime, is told in first person from two main viewpoints. It's a bit of a cautionary tale with insights into some current trends. The Other Side is an intricate sci-fi novel with ambitious world-building and thought-provoking themes about power and the human spirit. The story alternates between a young amnesiac survivor of a space battle and a centuries-old government insider, both drawn into a struggle to stop a dangerous alien faction from reshaping the galaxy.
